IWD x Cloudwater x R2G

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. On February 6th, we attended a special brew day in honour of IWD 2024, Cloudwater invited women from different Manchester-based organisations who have inspired and have positively contributed to their communities.

Cloudwater Said:

"Next up in our IWD series is Deanne Blake of @root2ginger

Deanne is a former teacher and social worker with over 30 years of professional experience in children’s services, who founded root2ginger. Making natural cold pressed ginger drinks based on Jamaican family recipes.

The Beer is a Pale Ale brewed with beautiful hops including Colombus, Idaho 7, Motueka and Waimea. It will be packaged in 9 unique cans featuring all the participants from our brew day and will be available for purchase from the 5th of March.

On International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, we will be celebrating the launch of the project in @cloudwatertaproom with a party, pizza, zine launch & photography exhibition.
